Albemarle Downtown Business Association

Home Events Guest Book

Who we are:

A for profit organization that works closely with the local media, Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation and the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce to bring people downtown to shop and dine.

Meetings:

ADBA meets the fourth Tuesday of every month at 8:00am (refreshments are available at 7:45am) at City Hall Annex. You are invited to become a member.  By joining the ADBA, your business can take advantage of the marketing features and will have the opportunity to help develop and/or support events to attract people to the downtown area.

What we do:

We encourage all members and non members to promote their business during annual events that specific committees put together like Cruisin' that starts in March and runs through October, the Beach Blast in May, the Fall Festival in October, the Old Fashioned Christmas and the Christmas parade in December. These events bring people downtown and gives the businesses a chance to showcase their inventory.

What we are moving towards:

  • As a for profit business association, we work to grow our businesses. We are going to bring in guest speakers to help us with some of the challenges that we, as small business owners, face everyday.
  • We are working closely with the ADDC to attract new businesses to the area.  More businesses mean more traffic, more traffic means more sales!
  • We will work to promote the downtown through cooperative advertising, where we pool our marketing dollars to advance the downtown as a whole.
  • We are exploring opportunities to have annual ADBA fundraising events to raise money to use for a website, the marketing, and the guest speakers.
